How we work
From the first call to a partner you know by name.

Stage 01
A call, no charge
Forty-five minutes on what you sell and where things have stalled. If we're not the right help, we'll say so and point you to who is.
Stage 02
Scope of work and a fixed price
One page: what we'll do, what you'll get, how much it costs and when. Nothing starts until you sign off on it.
Stage 03
Work on the ground
Our team in Shanghai makes the visits, makes the calls and verifies, and you get a short written report every week you pay for.
Stage 04
Handover and support afterwards
You get contacts, documents and the reasoning behind every recommendation. We stay reachable until the relationship settles in - the first three months at no extra cost.
Companies we've worked with

Thanks to Tianmu we found a reliable supplier of energy storage systems within days. Their market knowledge and support proved invaluable.
Five cities in nine days, every meeting confirmed before we flew out, and someone in the room who understood both sides. We came back with two contracts.
About us
A name that means something.
Tianmu (天母) means “Heavenly Mother” - the name references a temple to the goddess Mazu, Taipei's prestigious international district, and the Tianmu mountains. We chose it because it pairs a global outlook with the stability and wisdom our work rests on. The company operates internationally, with an operating headquarters in London and project hubs in Warsaw and Shanghai - so we ask the questions in Chinese, and answer in yours.
We take on a limited number of clients at a time. That's a deliberate choice: the people you speak to on the first call are the same ones who do the work afterwards, sit in the meetings, and put their name behind every recommendation.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
We work with companies of every size - from small teams to businesses with several hundred employees. A single supplier check, one trip, or a full market-entry project are all normal engagements for us, regardless of the scale of your organisation.
We quote every engagement after the first call as a fixed amount, so you know it before you commit. Travel and translation costs are billed separately, at cost.
No. Everything you receive from us is in your language, and we interpret live in meetings with Chinese partners. When a document matters - a contract, a certificate, a factory audit - you get both versions along with an explanation of the differences.
Yes. We take your dates and fill in the programme: confirming meetings, arranging interpreters, and preparing you for who'll be sitting across the table. A month's notice is comfortable, and shorter timelines usually still work.
Most often: industrial components and manufacturing, energy, construction, food and beverage, and consumer goods.
No. We organise travel as part of advisory projects - the route and meetings are built around your business goals, not the other way round. Flights and visas are the easiest part of the job; what happens after you land matters more.
Yes - that's our supplier verification (due diligence) service. We check licences, ownership structure and payment history, visit the factory or office, and deliver a written report with photos before you sign.
Yes. We run language and business training tailored to your industry and the real situations your staff might face with Chinese partners - from basic communication to negotiation etiquette.
It's an organised trip to factories, labs or trade fairs in China, for teams who want to see specific technologies or processes up close before committing to a partnership or investment.
Market intelligence is a report: data, competitors, pricing, risks. Market entry is acting on it - registration, partners, distribution. Many clients start with the first to decide whether to do the second.
